Steep & Brew Cafes Admit Being "Corny"

Choosing Corn over Plastic is Coffee Done Right!

Early in 2008, Steep & Brew converted all of the plasticware used to serve cold drinks in our cafes to eco-products made entirely from corn. These 100% biodegradable cups have been popular with our cafe customers, and support our efforts to promote recycling throughout our workplace.

Steep & Brew Introduces Recycled Tin Tie Bag

Supporting Recycling is Coffee Done Right!

Steep & Brew is proud to introduce a new earth-friendly tin tie bag that is made from post-consumer recycled materials. This bag, which will first appear for our Café Fair brand, is clay-coated instead of bleached. The interior lining is made of grease-proof paper instead of polypropylene, so the entire bag can be recycled after use by simply removing the tin-tie closure.

Promoting recycling is just another way Steep & Brew is Coffee Done Right®

Steep & Brew and WKOW-TV Team Up for Local Charities

Pouring Coffee for a Cause is Coffee Done Right

Steep & Brew and WKOW-TV have teamed up once again this summer to raise money and awareness for local charities. On Saturday mornings from 10 to 11, WKOW on-air personalities serve coffee from the Steep & Brew booth at the Farmer's Market on the Square. All coffee sales and proceeds received during that hour go to a pre-selected local organization. On May 29th, Teresa Mackin raised $161.75 for MDA: ALS Support Group.   Click here to see the schedule for this summer.

Steep&Brew Audience Award: Best Documentary

2010 Wisconsin Film Festival

The 2010 Steep & Brew Audience Award for Best Documentary at this year's Wisconsin Film Festival is Paddle to Seattle: Journey Through the Inside Passage, directed by JJ Kelley (a Wisonsin native) and Josh Thomas.

The film follows J.J. and Josh as they conquer the 1300 mile inside passage from Alaska to northern Washington State in homemade wooden kayaks (top speed: 3 miles per hour). The journey lasts almost a hundred days, and becomes more grueling than the kayakers expected. But they never lose their sense of humor, and it’s great fun joining them in their adventure. Producer/editor Ben Gottfried is also a UW–Madison alumnus. Click here  to see a trailer.

Icing on the Cake is more than a weekend coffee, it's what makes me want to get up on a cold winter morning and face the world...
